Top 10 D23 Parks Announcements That Have Us Counting Down the Days!
This past weekend, the D23 Expo was going on where are all the latest Disney news was announced, including news about the parks! Here are my top 10 D23 Park announcements that have me absolutely buzzing with excitement:
1. Villains Land 🧙♀️🦹♂️
I love that for the first time there's going to be a villains land for the first time in Magic Kingdom. This new addition promises to be dark, mysterious, and full of twists, allowing guests to step into the world of Disney's most infamous characters. There will be two major attractions in this land. One can only dream of what Disney villains will be the stars of these attractions, or maybe it will be a mix?
2. Indiana Jones Attraction 🏺🧭
Grab your fedora and whip—Indy is back! A new Indiana Jones attraction is coming to the new land of Tropical Americas in Animal Kingdom. They say it will be like no previous Indiana Jones attraction before and it will replace the Dinosaur Attraction currently there.
3. Monster's Inc Land and Coaster 👹🎢
This new land in Hollywood Studios dedicated to Monsters, Inc. will feature Disney's first ever suspended coaster that zips through the Monster Factory just like one of those doors in the movie. The land will be filled with vibrant details from the films, offering plenty of opportunities to interact with Sulley, Mike, and the gang. Get ready to scream for fun!
4. Avengers Campus Expansion 🦸♂️⚡
At California Adventure, there will be two new attractions added on to Avengers Campus. Avengers Infinity Defense lets you travel between Asgard, Wakanda, New York, and more to defeat King Thanos. Stark Flight Lab lets you ride a robot arm that whirls you around for a good test flight!
5. Tiana's Bayou Adventure 🐸🎺
Set to open in 2025 at California Adventure, Tiana's Bayou Adventure will transport guests into the heart of New Orleans with Tiana and her friends. This reimagined attraction promises jazzy tunes, vibrant bayou landscapes, and a story that continues the magic of The Princess and the Frog. It’s a celebration of family, friends, and all that makes the Big Easy so special.
6. Walt Disney- A Magical Life 🎨✨
For the first time, there will be a new animatronic show starring Walt Disney at Disneyland! After its initial run, it will run in rotation with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.
7. Zootopia Better Zoogether 🦊🎭
This new 3D show at Animal Kingdom that replaces It's Tough to Be a Bug will bring the lively characters of Zootopia to life in a spectacular performance that blends music, dance, and innovative special effects. Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and all their friends will lead you on an adventure that’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
8. Avatar Land 🌿🦄
Pandora was just the beginning! A brand-new Avatar land is set to expand the world of Avatar within California Adventure. This immersive area will feature new attractions, bioluminescent wonders, and the breathtaking landscapes of Pandora. Get ready to fly with the Na'vi and experience the magic of this otherworldly place.
9. Lion King Attraction 🦁🌅
Simba’s story is coming to life in a whole new way with a Lion King flume attraction that promises to be both heartwarming and thrilling at Disneyland Paris.
10. New Cars Area 🚗🏁
Cars fans, start your engines! A new area dedicated to Lightning McQueen and friends is racing into Frontierland at Magic Kingdom. This expansion will feature two new attractions, interactive elements, and plenty of high-octane fun for fans of all ages.
